Executive Assistant To Matrimonial Executive Partner
Our legal team is committed to providing each client with quality counsel, innovative solutions, and personalized service.
Founded in 2000, the firm offers the legal expertise of its 120+ attorneys, who have accumulated experience and problem-solving skills over decades of practice.
We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to directly support the Executive Partner of our Family Law/Matrimonial Department in Brooklyn.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to play a key role in a busy and high-profile practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain detailed attorney calendars in Outlook, including scheduling internal and external meetings, court dates, and appointments.
- Provide high-level administrative support, including coordinating meetings and conference calls, organizing paper and electronic files, and managing photocopying, scanning, and printing needs.
- Assist with the preparation, service, and filing of pleadings, discovery documents, subpoenas, and other litigation materials.
- Draft, edit, format, and proofread letters, memos, and legal documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Compose and manage routine correspondence and professional email communications.
- Handle administrative processes such as requesting conflict checks, opening new client matters, and submitting internal approvals.
- Support the Executive Partner with additional tasks and ad hoc projects as needed, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience providing legal administrative support, preferably in a family or matrimonial law practice.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Matrimonial law experience is a strong plus.
- Proactive, highly organized, and capable of anticipating needs and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong client service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Technologically proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and all levels of staff.
