Westat is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and discreet Executive Assistant to support the Chief Growth Officer (CGO).This role goes beyond traditional administrative support.
The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the CGO, helping manage priorities, maintain momentum across key initiatives, coordinate communications and meetings, and ensure the smooth operation of the Growth Office.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, strong communication abilities, and a customer-service mindset.
They will interact regularly with senior leaders, clients, partners, and other key stakeholders and must consistently demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and discretion.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, anticipates needs before they arise, and takes pride in helping leaders and teams succeed.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement requiring 4 days per week onsite in Bethesda, Maryland.
Job Responsibilities: Executive Support
• Manage the Chief Growth Officer's calendar, including meetings, speaking engagements, travel, and other commitments.
• Prioritize scheduling requests and help ensure the CGO's time is aligned with organizational priorities.
• Coordinate complex meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage travel arrangements and prepare detailed itineraries.
• Process expenses and maintain related administrative records.
• Monitor and help manage the flow of information coming into the CGO's office.
Communication and Coordination
• Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, presentations, agendas, reports, and other materials.
• Prepare briefing materials and background information for meetings and events.
• Serve as a liaison between the CGO and internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate follow-up on key action items, requests, and commitments.

Maintain organized files and records for the CGO and Growth Office.
Maintain and monitor Growth Office budget
Event Planning and Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate client, partner, and stakeholder events hosted by the Growth Office.
Manage meeting logistics, invitations, catering, meeting materials, and day-of-event coordination.
Partner with Communications, Facilities, IT, and other teams to ensure successful execution.
Support conference participation, executive forums, client meetings, and related activities.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organization across the CGO's office.
Develop and maintain systems that support effective planning, communication, and follow-through.
Help ensure important commitments and deadlines are tracked and completed.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of supporting organizational leaders, administrative, project coordination, or related experience.
Experience supporting senior executives or organizational leaders.
Experience coordinating meetings, events, or special projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Proven verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
' Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience working in a professional services, consulting, research, or government contracting environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.
Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
