- Ability to work in a field based team environment and independently when required

About The Role
- We’re looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Canberra team, supporting the delivery of underground utility infrastructure across the ACT and surrounding areas.
- In this hands on, field based role, you’ll work closely with pipelayers to excavate, trench, backfill, and reinstate works, helping expand critical utility networks.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Operate excavators for trenching, backfilling, and remediation works
- Work alongside pipelayers to deliver underground mains and services
- Read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and construction guidelines
- Communicate with builders, plumbers, and property owners on site
About You
- Proven experience operating excavators in civil or utility environments
- Experience with trenching, compaction, and backfilling
- Current MR/HR licence (essential)
- Relevant tickets: White Card, Traffic Management, Asbestos Awareness
- Ability to work in a field based team environment and independently when required

Roster
