We are hiring an Estimator to join our Estimating team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position working out of our production facility in Ottawa, Ontario. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to team safety and well being, being respectful, and acting with integrity. We strive for excellence in everything we do! The ideal candidate will have experience in creating pricing, assessing job specifications, working with planning software and ERP systems, and calculating materials and vendor requirements in a commercial printing environment (web print preferred), and will align with our core values and company culture .
AS AN ESTIMATOR, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:
● Using estimating software to create accurate costs for clients and Sales.
● Reviewing job specifications, production requirements, and verifying that all supplied information is correct and accurate.
● Engaging with suppliers for services and supplies to finalize numbers for estimates.
● Collaborating with various departments and operational managers to confirm or validate manufacturing processes.
● Offering technical support to Sales and Sales Support Staff.
● Using planning software to create efficient and accurate job plans, layouts, and impositions using electronic formats, and submitting job tickets to production.
● Ensuring all orders are planned based on client expectations and working with scheduling to ensure jobs are planned according to the production schedule.
● Calculating material and vendor requirements while working with production management regarding planning issues and challenges.
● Effectively communicating special project expectations to required stakeholders.

● A college diploma or university degree, preferably in Graphic Communications, or relevant equivalent experience.
● A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a print estimating role or a similar field.
● Print industry knowledge, particularly in the Web print field (considered a definite asset).
● Proficient computer skills, including hands-on experience with ERP/estimating systems.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
● Compensation: Compensation will be discussed during the initial interview.
● Schedule: You will be required to work Monday to Friday.
● Location: Hybrid - Based in British Columbia.
