Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate quantity take offs and cost estimates
- Obtain and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare detailed proposals and update cost databases to reflect current market prices
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales team to clarify technical requirements and identify value engineering options
- Support bid submissions and contract negotiations
- Monitor project costs against estimates and update forecasts as needed
- Maintain organized records of all estimates and related documentation
Requirements
- Strong experience in cost estimation, quantity take offs, and bid preparation for glass, aluminium, or related construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings
- Proficiency with estimation and spreadsheet software (e.g., MS Excel)
- Knowledge of glass and aluminium systems, fabrication processes, installation methods, materials, and current market rates
- Solid analytical, numerical, and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tenders and deadlines
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma/degree in engineering, quantity surveying, or related field

Role Description
