Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Doha, Qatar.
The Estimator reviews project requirements and prepares cost estimates for materials, labor, logistics, and subcontracted services.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings and proposals and develop detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations and collaborate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams.
- Support bid preparation, update cost databases, and track actual costs against estimates.
- Report project profitability and cost variances to management.
- Visit venues or suppliers as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong estimating and cost analysis skills in events, exhibitions, or interior decor.
- Ability to read technical drawings, layouts, and design specifications with numerical accuracy.
- Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors, including quotation requests, price negotiation, and offer evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and estimating or project management software.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, communication, problem-solving, and cost-saving skills.
- Previous experience in events, exhibitions, fit-out, or decor is highly beneficial.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Doha and visit venues or suppliers as needed.
