Estimation Engineer

Key Job Responsibilities

• Study and understand job scope requirements for structural steel requests for quotation.
• Send material and subcontractor RFQs, review quotations, and maintain the supplier or subcontractor database.
• Coordinate with clients on technical queries and obtain clarifications.
• Coordinate assigned site visits or job explanation meetings with operational representatives.
• Coordinate with the Technical Section Head to prepare technical proposals.
• Prepare work breakdown structures and bid summaries covering manpower, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare commercial proposals and required forms provided by the client.
• Review commercial proposals with the Estimation Manager.
• Submit proposals and update the logbook or ERP with assigned job status.
• Respond to client post-bid queries.
• Upon award, hand over the bid package, proposals, clarifications, and correspondence to the project team.

• Ability to read and study drawings.
• Knowledge of various industrial standards.
• Ability to take BOQ or MTO from drawings.
• Knowledge of painting calculations for various paint specifications.
