Job Summary
Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, BOQs, and commercial proposals for projects.
The role requires knowledge of engineering drawings, material costing, quantity take-offs, vendor quotations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, BOQs, and commercial proposals.
- Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings and project documents.
- Calculate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Obtain, evaluate, compare, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare rate analysis and maintain estimation databases.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost variations.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, project management, and sales teams.
- Participate in tender preparation and submission within specified timelines.
- Analyze previous project costs and historical data for future estimates.
- Track project scope changes and update estimates accordingly.
- Maintain documentation for estimates, quotations, and supporting calculations.
