Role Overview
The Estimation & Billing Engineer prepares Bills of Quantities, rate analyses, site measurements, and final billing.
The role controls material availability, cost, and coordination between design and site teams.
Quantity Measurement and Billing
- Prepare and verify quantities from drawings, BOQs, and actual site measurements.
- Prepare client running account bills based on completed work.
- Check and certify contractor and subcontractor bills against actual work executed.
- Maintain measurement sheets and supporting documentation for every bill.
- Reconcile BOQ, billed, and executed quantities.
BOQ and Costing
- Prepare detailed BOQs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Update BOQs when drawings, specifications, or scope changes.
