Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an ESG and Impact Win Work Lead to support bidding and work-winning activity across the UK and Europe.

The role focuses on social value, ESG, collaboration, and well-being within major bids across infrastructure, water, defence, energy, and the built environment.

The position sits within the Growth Office Win Work Excellence Group and combines bid writing, solution development, and strategic thinking.

Workplace and travel

  • The role is intended to be full-time, with part-time or flexible arrangements open for discussion.
  • The working model is hybrid, with at least three days per week expected in an office or on site and remaining time available remotely.
  • Regular travel is required for bid activity and stakeholder engagement.

Work winning and bid delivery

  • Lead social value, ESG, collaboration, and well-being inputs across bids.
  • Write and own evidence-based responses that translate client requirements into high-scoring solutions.
  • Position these themes as differentiators aligned with client priorities, scoring criteria, and desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to solutioning workshops and bid reviews.

Solution development and improvement

  • Develop practical approaches for complex client challenges and identify innovative or value-adding initiatives.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with delivery capability and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop tools, processes, guidance, case studies, collateral, and captured learning for future bids.
  • Improve consistency, quality, and efficiency across bidding and work-winning activities.

About you

  • Proven experience developing winning bid responses for large, complex opportunities.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for clear, persuasive, high-scoring submissions.
  • Understanding of social value, ESG, sustainability, collaboration, or well-being.
  • Ability to translate client requirements and evaluation criteria into credible, deliverable, measurable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, interviewing, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
  • Strategic ability to identify differentiators and align proposals with client priorities.
  • Experience producing case studies, proof points, lessons learned, and quantified outcomes.
