What You Will Do
Reporting to the Highway Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- operating and maintaining a grader, tandem truck, truck with trailer equipped with air brakes and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner;
- performing various highway maintenance and construction tasks;
- performing normal maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment, preparing and maintaining work records on the operation of the assigned equipment;
- ensuring roads are safe for public use through plowing and placing sand and salt on roads.
Appointment to this position will be restricted to local area residents.
Work may be available during the summer season at a lower classification.
