Role Description
The Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing equipment operations, asset maintenance, utilization planning, and technical support activities to ensure reliable performance, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
This role manages equipment lifecycle activities, maintenance coordination, vendor relationships, and operational planning across industrial, construction, logistics, manufacturing, or facility environments.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing equipment operations, maintenance schedules, and asset utilization activities
- Monitoring equipment performance, operational uptime, and maintenance-related KPIs
- Coordinating preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs
- Managing equipment inventory, procurement coordination, and asset tracking processes
- Collaborating with operations, engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams on equipment requirements
- Supervising technical staff, contractors, and vendor service providers
- Supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational issue resolution activities
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintenance standards, and operational procedures
- Preparing equipment reports, maintenance documentation, and performance analysis for management review
- Managing operational budgets, maintenance costs, and equipment lifecycle planning initiatives
- Supporting automation, modernization, and process improvement projects related to equipment operations
- Driving continuous improvement and operational reliability enhancement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in equipment management, maintenance operations, asset management, or technical operations roles
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, operational planning, and asset lifecycle management
- Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance reporting tools, and operational dashboards
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and maintenance management platforms
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and technical projects effectively
- Strong organizational and safety-focused mindset
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, construction, energy, mining, or industrial environments is an advantage
