About the Role
The University of Kansas Health System seeks an Epic Application Analyst to implement and support applications, troubleshoot issues, and assist with conversions. You will work closely with end users and project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient products.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current and future needs and workflows through interviews and data gathering
- Participate in planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support and evaluation of clinical or business application systems
- Design, document, build and modify complex critical applications under direct supervision
- Research stakeholder requests for optimizations using vendor application resources
- Develop and maintain knowledge of interface design and development between distributed systems
- Develop and execute test scripts based on future state workflows and software enhancements/fixes
- Participate in communication development of optimizations by producing screen shots and explanations
Requirements
- Associate's Degree (or 4 years related experience in lieu of degree)
- Certification or proficiency in assigned Epic application within 6 months of employment
- Ability to respond to off duty call

Position Summary / Career Interest
- Responsible for implementation and support of applications. Works closely with end users to troubleshoot and correct problems relating to applications and assists with conversions and implementations of software products.
Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates accountability in delivering assigned task. Reports project issues and accomplishments to project manager.
- Analyzes and documents current and future needs and workflows through interviews and gathering data.
- Participates in the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support and evaluation of clinical or business application systems.
- Participates/Contributes/Takes instructions in team and project meetings.
- Works effectively and efficiently as part of a team on assignments.
- Under direct supervision, designs, documents, builds and modifies the complex critical applications.
- Under direct supervision, is able to research stakeholder request for optimizations.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of interface design and development between various distributed systems.
- Certification or proficiency in assigned Epic application must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Learns, develops, and maintains competency in the assigned application or technical area.
- Develops a basic understanding of system logic concepts.
- Develops competence in the area of mentoring new analysts.
Required Education And Experience
- Associates Degree
- 4 years' experience in related field in lieu of a Associates degree
Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelors Degree
Required Licensure And Certification
- Certification or proficiency (with certification level score) in assigned Epic application or demonstrated learning of other assigned application. The certification must be obtained and maintained according to Epic’s CEE program guidelines in order to be qualified for, and maintain, occupancy in thi
