GHD is seeking Environmental Engineering Interns to join its Environmental team during the upcoming summer.
Interns support project managers, engineers, geologists, environmental scientists and technicians on environmental engineering solutions and project goals.
Project areas may include air quality, solid waste, remediation, health and safety, and related environmental work.
Workplace
- The workplace follows a hybrid model combining in-office collaboration and flexibility.
- Interns are expected to work in the office three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support environmental engineering projects and project goals with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare reports, manage data and maintain field equipment.
- Gain field experience and support environmental project activities.
- Receive training in soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and remediation system operations and maintenance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or a related field.
- Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting.
- Strong motivation and willingness to learn.
- Initiative to identify ways to assist staff and contribute to tasks of varying scope.
