Role Overview
Entry-level Environmental Scientist/Engineer role focused on contaminated soil, groundwater, and sediment sites.
Applies engineering and environmental science principles to evaluate site conditions, develop remediation strategies, and support regulatory compliance.
Works under general supervision while independently managing defined project components and supporting senior engineers.
Site Assessment and Investigation
- Purge monitoring wells and collect groundwater samples.
- Perform environmental drilling, ground disturbance procedures, soil description, and monitoring well installation.
- Conduct field screening and collect soil samples.
- Record organized field notes and site observations.
- Assist with calculations, equipment operation, inspections, and project documentation.
- Collect and enter data and apply technical principles under supervision.
Field Work and Travel
- Hybrid model applies when working in the office.
- Travel is required for site visits and project oversight.
- Work may involve extended travel within the province or country.
