Job Purpose
Provide technical and administrative support to the Environmental Engineering team.
Assist with environmental regulations, impact assessments, waste and natural-resource management, and company compliance with local and international standards.
Sampling and Compliance
- Collect air, water and soil samples and support preliminary environmental-data analysis under senior supervision.
- Help prepare periodic environmental compliance reports in accordance with local regulations and environmental standards.
- Gather data and conduct research for Environmental Impact Assessment studies on new projects.
Waste, Inspections and Documentation
- Support waste segregation, recycling programs and safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Conduct routine field inspections to identify environmental hazards and propose initial corrective actions.
- Maintain, update and archive environmental records, logs and databases systematically.
Environmental Awareness
- Assist in preparing and delivering sustainability workshops and environmental awareness campaigns for staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental track, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent stated engineering pathway.
- The role is intended for a fresh graduate with 0–1 year of experience.
- Summer environmental internship or co-op training is advantageous.
Technical and Soft Skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; Arabic knowledge is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, is required.
- Foundational understanding of local environmental laws and standards, including ISO 14001 principles, is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork abilities are required.
Work Location
- Work location is in person.
- The role requires fieldwork and periodic site visits.
