Role overview
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer for its Transportation Department in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
The role supports multidisciplinary projects from initial concepts through detailed design development and construction.
Entry-level technical hires may participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program, including technical development planning toward licensure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen analytical and structural design skills.
- Assist experienced engineers with engineering design tasks.
- Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to support engineering decisions.
- Use engineering software to solve basic technical problems.
- Contribute to project work while following established budgets and schedules.
- Work with multidisciplinary project teams across the project lifecycle.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required for project-site, client, and office visits.
