Entry Level Software Engineer

Role Overview

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field.
• Equivalent experience may satisfy the degree requirement.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance within a reasonable time after hire.
• Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.

Responsibilities

• Assist project leaders with researching, designing, developing, and testing software and tools.
• Develop new work products and enhance existing applications, systems, or embedded products.
• Code, test, and document software solutions.
• Work effectively within a collaborative team while taking on increasing responsibility and complexity.

Technical Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, theories, and the software development process.
• Agile experience is preferred.
• Cloud services, especially AWS and Kubernetes, are advantageous.
• Raspberry Pi experience, particularly for hardware-device applications, is preferred.
• Linux and MATLAB experience are listed as differentiators.
• A solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing concepts is expected, but development experience is not required.
