Entry Level Software Engineer

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related science, engineering, mathematics, or technical field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Agile experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance within a reasonable time after hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required because of the classified nature of the work.

Responsibilities

• Assist project leaders with the research, design, development, and testing of software and tools.
• Develop new work products and enhance existing applications, systems, or embedded products.
• Code, test, and document software solutions.
• Work collaboratively with teams supporting service members, intelligence analysts, and first responders.

What You Bring

• Understand software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
• Understand the software development process.

Preferred and Additional Skills

• Cloud services experience, particularly AWS and Kubernetes, is valued.
• Raspberry Pi experience is preferred, especially for hardware-device applications.
• Linux and MATLAB experience are relevant.
• A solid understanding of Digital Signal Processing concepts is expected, although development experience is not required.
• An active Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly, take on increasing responsibility, collaborate effectively, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Compensation

• Target salary is USD 86,300 per year, with actual pay varying by experience and other factors.
