Role Overview
Ports Petroleum is seeking an entry-level Software Developer to contribute to technology projects and collaborate with a small development team.
The role supports a permanent full-time position for candidates starting their careers or bringing one to two years of development experience.
The developer will maintain and enhance the company's proprietary ERP system within the IT department.
Responsibilities
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
- Resolve issues with existing ERP software.
- Develop new software programs to enhance business operations.
- Assist with cybersecurity and maintain software systems and databases.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with SQL and databases, including DB2 on IBM i.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Visual Studio, VB.NET, RPG, Node.js, and front-end technologies.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
