Role overview
Safety-Kleen is seeking an Entry Level Material Handler and Route Driver Trainee in Delta, British Columbia.
The role begins with warehouse operations, company policies, and safety procedures before progressing toward route-driver duties.
The trainee will eventually transport hazardous and regulated waste between customer sites, company facilities, and approved disposal locations.
Compensation and benefits
- The wage is $24-$27 per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities.
- Full-time employees receive health benefit coverage after 30 days.
- The package includes a group RRSP with company matching, paid time off, company-paid training, and tuition reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Support warehouse operations and eventually provide vacation or absence coverage for internal route drivers.
- Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste with proper segregation, securement, and placement.
- Move materials, equipment, kits, supplies, parts, and completed assemblies through production areas.
- Maintain inventory records, stock logs, shortage reports, daily logs, dispatch reports, and vehicle inspection documentation.
