About the Role
BlueCat is seeking a consultative Sales Engineer to help enterprise customers modernize network infrastructure with DDI solutions. You will lead technical discovery, proof-of-value engagements, and collaborate with sales and product teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead consultative technical discovery sessions focused on infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, operational automation, and resiliency initiatives
- Advise enterprise customers on modern DDI architectures spanning hybrid, multi cloud, and distributed environments
- Lead proof of value engagements focused on automation outcomes, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and infrastructure resiliency
- Design and position integrated solutions leveraging BlueCat technologies alongside cloud, security, orchestration, and integration platforms
- Deliver technical workshops, executive presentations, and architecture reviews for both technical and business audiences
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, infrastructure engineering, network engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, or customer facing architecture roles
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network infrastructure operations
- Experience supporting enterprise hybrid and multi cloud environments
- Experience with API driven infrastructure and automation frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience

What You’ll Do
- Advise Customers on Infrastructure Modernization: Lead consultative technical discovery sessions, advise on modern DDI architectures, help modernize legacy network services into API driven platforms, guide on operational best practices.
- Deliver Business Value Through Technical Engagements: Lead proof of value engagements, design integrated solutions, support Infrastructure as Code strategies, deliver technical workshops and executive presentations.
- Drive Cross Functional Collaboration and Market Influence: Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM teams, provide customer feedback, contribute to technical enablement content.
- Operate Effectively in a Modern Customer Engagement Model: Manage technical engagement activity in Salesforce, support remote first engagement models, collaborate across distributed global teams.
What You Bring
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise networking, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network infrastructure operations; experience with hybrid and multi cloud environments.
- Experience with: DNS, DHCP, IPAM platforms; API driven infrastructure; Infrastructure as Code tools; cloud networking; network security; Linux/UNIX; scripting; virtualization; familiarity with AI assisted operations is valued.
- Customer Engagement & Leadership Skills: Strong consultative advisory and relationship building capabilities; excellent executive communication; ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
- Experience & Education: 3+ years in sales engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles; Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
