Enterprise Database Administrator Senior

Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree + 9 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 7 years of relevant experience.

Master's degree or higher preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: - ITIL is preferred. - Proficiency in Oracle Database (19c or later), including SQL and PL/SQL development. - Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Automatic Storage Management and Oracle Multi-tenant. - Strong understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modeling. - Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization. - Familiarity with database backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for database automation. - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and cross-departmental teams.

Special Certification/Licensure: Individuals who have completed college or university course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts, degrees, and the translation of other relevant employment documents prior to being offered employment at New Mexico State University. A foreign transcript evaluation is required any time foreign course work is used to meet an employment related credential requirement. An evaluation is required even if the foreign course work has been accepted by a college or university in the United States. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
