Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons for small groups and individual students, aligned with exam preparation and tutoring objectives
- Develop lesson plans and learning materials
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
- Prepare students for standardised tests and school exams
- Maintain accurate records of performance
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in curriculum discussions and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practices
- Uphold Sage’s standards of academic excellence and professional conduct
Requirements
- Strong instructional skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with a solid foundation in Education principles
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning, including designing structured, engaging, and exam focused lessons
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues clearly and professionally
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certifications (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL) are an advantage
- Experience teaching English to middle and/or high school students, preferably in exam preparation or tutoring environments
- Ability to teach SAT, IB, A levels
- Ability to differentiate instruction for varied proficiency levels and learning styles, and to manage small group and one to one sessions effectively
- Comfort working in a multicultural setting and familiarity with international curricula or university entrance exam requirements are beneficial
- Strong organisational skills, reliability, and a commitment to helping students achieve measurable academic progress

Role Description
- The English Teacher role is a full time, or part time, on site position based in Dubai.
- The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons for small groups and individual students, aligned with exam preparation and tutoring objectives.
- Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans and learning materials, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
