Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment
- Conducts tests or experiments
- Analyzes results and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance and reports results
- Capable of performing non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.
- Analyze drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design
- Plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- High School Diploma
- Five (5) years demonstrated experience with TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems.
- Three (3) years of Computerized System experience, to include: Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.
- Sec+ certification
- OSHA 10 training and VSRA Online Training must be obtained within 6 months of starting
- Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months
- Individual shall be working towards the relevant vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications, etc.
