Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Safely perform highly complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration, and pool heaters
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and cosmetic items
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
- Train and mentor other engineers as necessary
Requirements
- Advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC
- Above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability
- Proficiency in at least three of the following: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management
- Solid knowledge and skill in safe use of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
- Ability to train and mentor other engineers
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance

Position Summary

- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Carry equipment such as tools and radio.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
- Assure daily activities and problems are communicated to other shifts.
- Display advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Display proficiency in multiple engineering categories.
- Safely perform highly complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment.
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems.
- Train and mentor other engineers.
Qualifications
- Advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability.
- Proficiency in at least three of the listed categories.
- Solid knowledge and skill in safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Skills

- Advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management.

Physical Requirements
