About the Role
Rivan Industries is seeking an Engineering Technician to design, build, and execute tests for synthetic fuel plants. The role requires practical skills in plumbing, wiring, fabrication, machining, and mechanic work, along with the ability to work from engineering drawings.

Responsibilities
- Help design, build and execute tests to validate engineering assumptions across fluids, thermals or electrical systems
- Work straight from engineering drawings, with particular attention to tolerances
- Execute all the above with sound safety experience
- Help keep the workshop clean and in order, with all tooling clean, tidy, ready to use, any parts in stock or ordered
- Maintain our (growing) range of heavy machinery, including laser cutters, water jet cutters, drills, lathes, mills, and welding equipment
- Keep a list of spares, jigs and material to use across all machinery
- Propose solutions rather than just follow instructions
- Take the lead on coordinating with external contractors to implement solutions
Requirements
- 4 5 years professional experience in relevant environment (workshop, factory, or laboratory)
- Practical examples of hands on project builds
- Engineering degree or background (apprenticeship or other)
- Personal projects demonstrating tinkering or building

About Us
- Rivan Industries is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry.
- We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground.
- We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor.
- We have recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to 1000x this scale in the next 2 years.
The Role
- Help us design, build and execute tests to validate engineering assumptions across fluids, thermals or electrical systems.

- £50 60k salary depending on experience
- In person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South London
- Extensive relocation support, including £6000 per year extra to live close to our HQ
