Role Overview
The Engineering Technician works in the hotel's Engineering / Maintenance department.
The position reports to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints about air conditioning, water supply, lighting, and related maintenance issues.
- Conduct daily inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and public areas.
- Carry out preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Utility Systems and Emergencies
- Ensure proper functioning of generators, boilers, chillers, and other utility systems.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and systems.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
Records, Safety, and Coordination
- Maintain maintenance logs, records, and checklists.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
