Role overview
The Engineering Team Leader - ES&T supports the Engineering Systems and Technology organization and supervises controls engineers supporting 3M Manufacturing.
The role provides engineering resources, people leadership, and technical support for manufacturing projects.
Key responsibilities
- Provide engineering resources and support for manufacturing.
- Manage staffing, workload forecasting, and succession planning within the group.
- Align engineering teams with project objectives and address gaps in technical expertise.
- Supervise assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training, and development.
- Allocate work assignments and review progress toward employee objectives.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field, completed and verified before starting.
- At least 8 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, and/or engineering environment.
- At least 5 years of experience with machine control system design and commissioning.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience for control engineers.
