Engineering Supervisor (Element City Center Doha)

Position Summary

Maintenance and Equipment

• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and related equipment.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves and inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies and maintain inventory and purchase order logs.
• Enter work-related information using computers and operate a power lift.

Life Safety and Repairs

• Complete life-safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to guest repair requests and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment when needed.

Supervision and Service

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, support individuals with disabilities, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Identify and implement improvements in organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Safety and Physical Duties

• Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and injuries; and complete safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; reach, bend, twist, lift, carry, grasp, and move across stairs or service ramps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Workplace and Schedule

• The position is full time and not remote.
• The role is based in engineering and facilities operations at Element City Center Doha, Qatar.
