Engineering Stores and Purchasing Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering stores operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and control of materials and spare parts.
• Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock control processes.
• Manage critical spares, obsolete stock, and inventory levels.
• Lead purchasing for engineering parts, consumables, and selected contracted services.
• Develop supplier relationships to improve value, delivery, quality, and service.
• Coordinate materials with maintenance, production, and reliability teams.
• Support shutdowns, maintenance activities, and capital projects.
• Monitor stock value, purchasing spend, inventory performance, and cost improvement opportunities.
• Maintain Maximo and business system records and produce reports and KPIs.
• Promote safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience in engineering stores, MRO materials management, purchasing, or supply chain within manufacturing, process, or heavy industry.
