The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
This role ensures engineering deliverables are completed on time, resources are effectively utilized, risks are proactively managed, and communication across engineering disciplines remains aligned.
The Engineering Program Manager acts as the primary liaison between Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs.
MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Develop and maintain engineering schedules for assigned projects.
- Coordinate activities across Electrical, Mechanical, ETO, Standardization, Quality, and Production Engineering teams.
- Monitor engineering progress against milestones and delivery commitments.
- Identify project risks, resource constraints, and schedule impacts.
- Drive issue resolution and escalate barriers affecting engineering execution.
- Ensure timely completion of customer submittals and engineering deliverables.
- Facilitate engineering review meetings and cross-functional coordination.
- Partner with Project Managers to align engineering and project schedules.
- Track engineering KPIs and report execution performance.
- Support continuous improvement of engineering planning and execution processes.

Required Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 7+ years of engineering, project engineering, or program management experience.
- Experience in ETO manufacturing, switchgear, power distribution, data centers, or industrial equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering design and project execution processes.
- Proficiency with project scheduling and resource planning tools.

Work Environment And Physical Demands
- The work environment is primarily office-based, with a quiet to moderate noise level and traditional lighting.
- Wear the proper PPE when visiting warehouses or transportation facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.
- Ability to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel between MCG locations as needed. Some travel could require overnight stays.
