Engineering Manager role in the Engineering and Facilities category at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha.

About the Property

The Ritz-Carlton Doha is a luxury resort with guestrooms, restaurants, spa and fitness facilities, pools, a private beach, event spaces, and related property operations.

Role Expectations

  • Manage engineering and maintenance operations, including the building, grounds, and physical plant.
  • Maintain safety, security, asset protection, regulatory requirements, and facility operations.
  • Manage budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation.
  • Assist in leading the emergency response team for facility issues.

Education and Experience

  • Either a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant engineering and maintenance experience, or a 2-year related degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing is required.

Core Work Activities

  • Manage equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Control heat, light, and power and recommend economical energy conservation methods.
  • Develop and administer service contracts for building needs.
  • Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor completion.
  • Oversee maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
  • Develop and execute long-term preventive maintenance and asset protection plans.
  • Develop project plans for renovation or new construction needs.
  • Obtain contractor bids and supervise construction work.
