Job Description
- Lead and manage a technical group or department.
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments.
- Plan and develop engineering tasks involving unique or controversial problems.
- Define scopes and select problems for investigation and development of novel concepts.
- Maintain liaison with internal units and external individuals.
- Act independently on technical matters with minimal supervision.
- Manage engineers and technicians and coordinate unit activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as INCOSE CSEP, IREB or equivalent Requirements Engineering certification, and PMP are desirable or advantageous.
- Typically 12+ years of experience in requirements management, systems engineering, or project delivery, with several years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience on major infrastructure, rail, metro, transportation, or engineering projects.
