The employer is hiring an Engineering Manager for a client developing high-quality foundational large language models.
The work includes supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback tasks.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Compensation
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams of more than 20 Python, JavaScript, Java, and other language developers.
- Collaborate with researcher clients to support satisfaction with delivered work.
- Maintain rigorous review processes to ensure high dataset quality.
- Oversee project transitions from initiation to stable states and take responsibility for delivery.
- Identify and implement measures to improve code quality within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in engineering management.
- Proven experience managing large technical teams in a delivery-oriented role.
- Experience with Python or Java and JavaScript.
- Ability to perform hands-on technical work and resolve quality issues.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills focused on motivating teams.
