Role Overview
The Engineering Manager will lead the newly formed Platform team and help modernize Render's internal developer platform and shared production infrastructure.
The team will build modular, adaptable infrastructure covering observability, CI/CD, developer environments, storage, and related capabilities.
The role combines technical leadership, product thinking, people development, and responsibility for reliable delivery.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a team of platform engineers through mentorship, feedback, hiring, and clear technical guidance.
- Drive product initiatives from ideation through launch while balancing speed with reliability and quality.
- Guide system design decisions and help the team navigate architectural tradeoffs.
