The role
Lead a seasoned Platform Engineering team with visibility across the entire engineering organization. This team owns the multi-cloud foundation that every other engineering team builds on, so your decisions and your team's work are felt company-wide. You'll shape how we scale that foundation while keeping quality, cost, and security front and center as the business grows.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a team of Platform Engineers, coaching them to drive strong impact.
- Drive the technical roadmap for cloud infrastructure with the tech lead.
- Own cost visibility and efficiency as cloud usage scales.
- Partner with Security on governance, access, and compliance.
- Balance resourcing against business needs and individual capacity.
- Keep prioritization sharp and processes lean.
- Partner with leadership to sustain a culture of collaboration, impact, and innovation.
- Hire and grow the team, anticipating business needs and pitching investment to leadership.
- Contribute to the day-to-day running of the Software team’s operations and larger collaborative efforts.

Essential
Prior experience as an engineering manager in software or developer operations.
Experience balancing project work with support and operational load.
Passion for developing individual team members.
Strong roadmap planning, stakeholder management, and cross-team alignment.
Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) at scale.
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
Familiarity with Linux and container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Desirable
Experience operating a multi-cloud environment.
Knowledge of build systems and modern CI/CD solutions.
Experience developing in Python.
This is a full-time role based in our office in Sunnyvale and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $276,100 to $311,400, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
