Engineering Maintenance Helper

There’s nothing quite like walking into a hotel that feels fresh, clean, and well-maintained — and you help make that happen. As part of the Engineering Maintenance team, you take pride in keeping the property in top shape by performing preventative maintenance and hands-on repairs throughout the hotel. Whether fixing a leaky faucet, patching drywall, or replacing a light switch, your work is key to ensuring guests have a safe and comfortable stay.

You work both independently and alongside the Chief Engineer and the rest of the team to take on a variety of maintenance tasks, always staying ready to help where needed. In the role of Engineering Maintenance , you will:

• Be a Hands-On Problem Solver - Perform basic property repairs including air conditioner maintenance (changing filters, cleaning coils, replacing blower motors), plumbing repairs (changing washers, stems, cartridges, and fittings), light electrical work (replacing switches, receptacles, bulbs), furniture repairs, tile work, and wall repairs including painting and drywall patching.

• Be Detail-Oriented & Organized - Take care of routine preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Maintain required documentation such as boiler logs and PM logs. Keep tools, supplies, and work areas clean and organized.

• Be Self-Sufficient & Reliable - Work unsupervised with confidence and responsibility. Prioritize your tasks and manage time effectively. Keep your supervisor informed of any issues that require attention.

• Be a Safety & Security Agent - Handle tools and chemicals safely. Follow all hotel safety procedures and assist with property security when needed.
