Role overview
Engineering Lead, Rail and Transit role within a Canada West Civil Infrastructure Group.
The role will grow and deliver the rail and transit practice across Canada, with emphasis on Alberta and British Columbia.
The role may be based in Edmonton or Calgary.
Key responsibilities
- Act as Project Manager, Design Manager, or Project Director on transportation infrastructure projects.
- Lead design development and oversee technical deliverables, specifications, and tender documents.
- Conduct site visits as required.
- Build relationships with transit agencies, railway owners and operators, municipalities, utilities, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Champion project delivery best practices, quality, and safety.
- Support collaboration and work sharing across the global network.
- Provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and mentorship.
- Support business development through client engagement, opportunity reviews, and proposal preparation.
Experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of transportation experience in Western Canada.
