Responsibilities
- THE ROLE: Join AMD's engineering lab operations team and help enable the testing, validation, and development of next-generation technologies. In this hands-on role, you will partner closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to execute lab work orders, support product debug activities, and ensure critical testing objectives are completed safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic technical environment while contributing directly to key product development milestones. THE PERSON: You are a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. You enjoy working hands-on with hardware, following established processes, solving problems, and collaborating with engineers to achieve shared goals. Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to quality and continuous learning will help you succeed in this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Execute prioritized work orders in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements. - Manage product samples throughout the testing process, ensuring accurate tracking and timely completion. - Support engineering debug and validation activities, including system setup, hardware swaps, and data collection. - Document work progress, testing results, and equipment issues while providing clear status updates to stakeholders. - Coordinate inventory staging, sample preparation, and material handling to support efficient lab operations. - Maintain an organized work environment and contribute to continuous improvement and cross-training initiatives. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, laboratory, or engineering support environment. - Familiarity with engineering lab operations, test equipment, troubleshooting, and diagnostic processes. - Experience supporting product validation, characterization, testing, or debug activities. - Proficiency using work order management systems, tracking tools, or related operational software. - Ability to follow technical procedures, accurately document results, and manage multiple priorities.
