The Engineering Intern role with the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) offers students an incredible opportunity to gain real-world experience while still in school. Working on the design and development of embedded systems and components, such as, but not limited to, vehicle sensing technology and control systems.
Create CAD models and simulations for ongoing projects.
Assisting with conducting tests on embedded systems and equipment to ensure they function correctly.
Supporting with troubleshooting embedded systems and prototypes that fail or require adjustments through testing.
Assisting with writing, testing, and debugging code for various applications and systems.
Completing data collection and root cause analysis (RCA) of field and development systems.
Analyzing data from tests and experiments to assist the engineering team in drawing conclusions and making recommendations for improvements.
Preparing technical documentation, including but not limited to reports, schematics, and user manuals.
Collaborating closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members, both within ATG, and cross-functionally across other business units to complete projects and solve problems.
Understand and apply learned industry and company standards, and regulations, to ensure compliance and safety.
Assisting in the creation and testing of prototypes through 3D printing, machining, fabrication, printed circuit board (PCB) design, assembly, installation, and calibration to evaluate their performance and feasibility.
