Role Overview
Walter P Moore is seeking an Engineering Intern focused on water resources engineering.
The role is suited to candidates with a technical background and enthusiasm for water resources engineering challenges.
Role Activities
- Contribute to water resources engineering work involving hydrologic and hydraulic challenges.
- Apply basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles and use Microsoft Excel in engineering project work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Completed or current university-level coursework in hydrology and/or hydraulics.
- Understanding of basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written communication and technical writing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree with emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, water resources, or a related field.
- Prior experience with civil site development or drainage study projects.
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM5, or ArcGIS.
