The Engineering Intern works closely with the engineering department to assist with technical projects, design tasks, manufacturing processes, analysis, and documentation to gain practical, hands-on industry experience in nuclear rotating equipment design, manufacturing, and refurbishment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Provide technical support for projects, including design, testing, and engineering calculations.
Assist in creating and modifying drawings or models using CAD software.
Support process improvement efforts.
Assist in creating technical reports, manuals, and documentation for projects.
Interface with cross-functional teams (quality, manufacturing) to solve problems.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
Performs other duties as assigned.
