Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of the Design Consultant(s) to ensure design correctness, completeness, and compliance with scope of work requirements.
- Control and manage Senior Discipline Engineers of the Project Management Team with respect to Design aspects.
- Manage the provision of engineering and design information in a timely manner between parties to support stakeholders.
- Identify the need for and ensure appropriate reviews and audits to support assurance of interface management performance.
- Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession requests submitted by the Design Consultant(s) for Client's approval.
- Attend all meetings with Design Consultant(s), sub consultants, and Client's Meetings.
- Review project design strategy and make recommendations to client.
- Proactively support weekly and monthly interface management meetings to close outstanding interface issues.
- Suggest alternative materials/systems to improve process design, future maintenance, and construction cost.
- Assist in preparing a questionnaire for pre qualification of design consultants and building contractors and recommend a list of bidders.
- Assist and monitor timely submittals of all documents from Design Consultant(s) to government departments until obtaining final permits.
- Coordinate with regional/home office to obtain required technical support to ensure correctness and completeness of design.
Requirements
- Bachelor / Master of engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years’ experience after graduation
- Minimum of 5 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects
- Experience in stakeholder management and coordination
- Experience in tender document preparation and reviews
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Description
- An Engineering Interface Engineer (E2) is responsible for supporting the coordination and management of design and engineering interfaces to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant information flow between stakeholders.
- The role monitors design consultant performance, facilitates reviews and approvals, and helps resolve interface issues while ensuring alignment with project scope and requirements.
- It also contributes to design evaluations, tender processes, permitting, and stakeholder coordination to support efficient project delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master of engineering or from an accredited university.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
