Engineering Director

is responsible for leading engineering strategy, technical operations, projects, and engineering teams.

The role ensures engineering activities meet business objectives, quality standards, safety requirements, budgets, and delivery timelines.

• Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and technical plans.
• Lead engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Manage engineering teams, resources, budgets, and technical priorities.
• Oversee design, development, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, quality, and technical performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical, engineering, and operational issues.
• Manage engineering equipment, materials, technologies, and technical resources.
• Assess engineering risks, changes, technical approvals, and project requirements.
• Promote innovation, efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare technical reports, budgets, forecasts, and management updates.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams.
• Provide technical advice and strategic recommendations to senior management.

• Bachelor’s degree in

or a related field.

• Extensive experience in engineering management or senior engineering leadership.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design, project management, and technical operations.
• Experience managing engineering teams, projects, budgets, and resources.
• Good understanding of engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software, project management tools, and technical systems.
• Good commercial, financial, and risk management awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Professional engineering certification or Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
• UAE/GCC engineering experience is advantageous.
