Role Description
The Engineering Director leads engineering strategy, technical operations, projects, and engineering teams.
The role focuses on quality, safety, efficiency, and achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and plans.
- Lead engineering projects from planning through completion.
- Manage engineering teams, resources, budgets, and technical priorities.
- Oversee design, development, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, quality, and technical performance.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
- Resolve technical, operational, and engineering-related issues.
- Manage engineering risks, changes, technical approvals, and project requirements.
- Drive innovation, efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare technical reports, budgets, forecasts, and management updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
