Engineering Coordinator

Qualifications

• Previous administrative or coordinator experience is required.
• Engineering, facilities, maintenance, property management, hotel operations, or similar complex operational experience is preferred or considered an asset.
• Strong organization, computer skills, communication, interpersonal skills, judgment, accountability, and follow-through are required.
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams proficiency is required.
• Experience with work-order, property-management, purchasing, payroll, facilities-management, Opera PMS, BirchStreet, Dayforce, or similar systems is an asset.
• Technical Engineering certification is not required.
• The role requires handling payroll, financial, contractor, and hotel information with confidentiality and discretion.

Physical and Operational Requirements

• The role involves extended computer use, sitting, regular standing and walking, and access to Engineering areas, mechanical spaces, and guest floors.
• The position requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and movement and may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items up to 30 lbs.
• The coordinator must be comfortable in an active hotel environment and occasional areas with noise, heat, dust, or other operational conditions.
• Priorities may need to change in response to urgent maintenance requirements and hotel business levels.
