Responsibilities
- Implement routine maintenance and urgent repair works in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations. Closely monitor the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible. Ensure that all records of maintenance and testing are kept
- Minimum three years’ experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industry
- Must have knowledge in HVAC, Refrigeration and EPA licensed
- Worked in the Engineering or Facilities department in relation to general building maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment
- Respond to Maximo WO’s
- Keep daily logs
- Serves as the department subject matter expert for upholstery, fabric, vinyl, leather, foam, furniture repair, and restoration projects.
- Oversees repair, replacement, and refurbishment of upholstered furniture in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, meeting spaces, offices, and back-of-house areas.
- Coordinates with Gaming Operations for replacement of gaming table felts and related upholstery requirements.
- Coordinates the movement, setup, and relocation of gaming tables with Engineering and Facilities personnel when required for gaming floor work or table maintenance.
- Ensures gaming table felt replacement work is completed in a clean, professional manner consistent with operational, manufacturer, and regulatory expectations.
- Reviews work requests, prioritizes department workload, assigns tasks, and follows up on completion of critical work.
- Maintains inventory of fabric, vinyl, leather, foam, gaming felts, thread, adhesives, hardware, tools, and related supplies.
- Coordinates purchasing requests, vendor communication, and material sourcing to support department operations.
- Inspects casino seating, restaurant booth seating, guest furnishings, conference furniture, and other upholstered assets to identify repair needs.

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
- Read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Minimum five years of commercial upholstery experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires 90% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairs
- Operating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklift, pallet jack
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Use of hand and power tools
- Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound
- Requires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols
- Requires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
