Overview
Shure is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer for its flagship professional wireless audio systems team.
The role shapes, clarifies, negotiates, and designs hardware, firmware, and Angular/Node applications and services.
The position reports to Shure's Niles, Illinois headquarters one to two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Clarify and structure features for the professional audio platform roadmap.
- Define detailed requirements through stakeholder interviews and experience.
- Architect and design Angular/Node applications with AWS and Electron considerations.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and reference implementations.
- Apply standards and share research and best practices.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience as a systems engineer or software architect on Angular, Electron, or cloud products.
- Strong documentation skills and a desire to drive clarity.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Experience with desktop applications.
- Technical experience in infrastructure or production management.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
