Engineer / Senior Engineer, Building Envelope

Participate in proposal preparation, client meetings, and business development activities.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Building Science, Structural, MEP, Environmental, and Sustainability groups.

Support QA/QC initiatives and maintain technical standards within the group.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Building Envelope, or related Engineering discipline.

Professional designation such as P.Eng. registered or eligible for registration with EGBC is considered an asset.

5+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, restoration, rehabilitation, or building science projects.

Strong understanding of building enclosure systems including roofing, cladding, glazing, balconies, waterproofing, and parking structures.

Experience with assessment, design, rehabilitation, and restoration consulting projects for existing buildings.

Knowledge of construction documents, specifications, contract administration, and construction review processes.

Ability to prepare technical reports, specifications, and rehabilitation recommendations.

Knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and restoration best practices.

Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.

Experience with AutoCAD and technical drawing review is considered an asset.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout British Columbia.
